It is May 1st! Oh Goodness! I can't believe it! Here is my currently::

Listening:: I love Hart of Dixie. It makes me soo want to move to the South. Next week in the Season Finale. :(

Loving:: One more student day this week. A four day week was definitely needed.

Thinking:: Umm.. Weather?? What are you doing to me? I loved wearing flip-flops on Monday, and then today it is SNOWING?!?! NO Thank you!

Wanting:: New clothes. I have a problem. I should probably sign up for a Shopaholic Meeting, but who am I kidding.. Bring on the cute clothes!

Needing:: A Back Massage. I get to see the Fiance this weekend, and I can't wait! :)

Summer Bucket List:: 1. Last summer, I had my first camping experience and loved it! Can't wait to do it again. 2. Girls weekends are soo much fun! I think we are going to a vineyard, and some of the girls want to skydive. I like the vineyard, but not the skydiving! 3. I guess a puppy is not a bucket list, but I really want one. We are going to get a goldendoodle, and going to name him Kevin. :)

Well that's it folks! I can't wait to read your currently's!

PS:: I had a magical day when all my naughty kiddos were absent.. don't be too jealous! ;)

Is it really only Tuesday!?!? May Day Ideas!

It has been a long week, but I can't believe tomorrow is May! Today, I had my formal observation by my principal. Most of my kiddos were so amazing, and I was so proud of them, but then there was the one. This one decided to be awful, and was so awful in fact that she was taken home at the end of my observation, and suspended for two days. I felt terrible, but it has been a struggle with this friend all year. Most of all though, it made me sad though because my struggles with this one friend shed a bad light on the rest of my class, but I know my kiddos did their best in that situation. Alright enough with that!

So when I was little, my mom always had us make May Day baskets, and I LOVED it! It was so fun to deliver them. So I got an idea, our 3rd graders just finished their state testing today, and they rocked it! I was so proud of those kids, so I thought it would be fun for my class to make them May Day baskets to show how proud we are of them. Tomorrow morning, we are going to make these baskets and write them letters on how we look up to them and how we can't wait to be like them next year because my kids are always talking like that. We will also put  little flower suckers in the basket as well. Here is documents for our baskets, little note sheets, and flower sucker pattern! :) Enjoy:

Photos, Project, and What I have been up too!

Happy Sunday! I am so happy because the sun is out, it is warm, and I am going to a baseball game! Woo hoo! I love the fact that we have an outdoor stadium for days like today. :) I have been so busy lately, but a good busy. I had a job interview, which went really well, but sadly I didn't get the position. It was the first place I applied and I was just so thankful to get an interview. It was for a reading teacher, and they went with someone who specialized in that, but it just lets me know there are positions out there, and I need to stay positive. :)

I have an instagram account. I changed the name of it to match my blog, but here is the little thing you can click to go follow it!

Five for Friday!

I am so happy to be linking up for Five for Friday! :)

1. I am on Spring Break! YAY! I am so happy to home, but this means applying for jobs. Next year, I am moving back to my home town to be with my fiance and our families, which means time for a new job. Ugh! It is so nerve-wracking, but God has a plan for me and everything will work out.

2. On Monday, I had 7 kiddos gone! That's right 7! It was crazy. I had no idea where they were, but with my kiddos that were here I whipped up a quick craft at the end of the day because of their amazing behavior. Here are a few pictures of the masks I let them make. After they made their masks, they had to write a story about them. I wish I would have taken a picture of their writing it was so cute!

These made it really easy to take pictures because their face was already covered up!

3. I found my wedding invitations at target! They were on clearance. I was happy to find them, and I love them! Here is a picture:

4. I bought a new book for weight loss. Fingers crossed I stick with it! It is The Eat-Clean Diet Recharged. A girl I use to work with loves it and told me to try it, so I will let you know if it works!

5. A few weeks ago, I had a weird skin issue, but it is all cleared up now without surgery! Thank goodness! :)

Well there is my five! Happy Friday! :)

March High/Lows! :)

I am linking up Katie at Teacher to the Core for her High/Low Linky!

There was a lot of wonderful things this month, it is hard to choose one high! So I will choose two! The first is in my classroom. We have been working learning our multiplication facts, and my littles are getting it!! Anytime they finish their work, they ask if they can practice more and that make me so happy. It is great to see them trying so far and being so motivated to learn those facts. These kids have come so far from the beginning of the year. When they first started some of them didn't know their addition and subtraction facts, and now they are learning multiplication. Happy Teacher Right here!

My second high is that my fiance and I have been together for two years together this month! I am so excited to marry him even though it is not till July 2014. Here is a picture of us from a car show we went too::

It is hard to think of the lows, but one of my kiddos has been really struggling behavior wise. She began the year struggling, drastically improved, then all of a sudden went back to this unacceptable behavior. It makes me so sad because she is so bright, but her anger can get the best of her. I am hoping spring break will give her the much needed break.

Now it is your turn! Go Link up!

It has been far too long! Lots of Pictures! :) ((Freebie at the Bottom!))

It feels like FOREVER since I posted on here! Along with teaching, starting the process of looking for a new job in a new area, spending time with the fiance, and every other little thing in life, I just have been a lazy blogger. Oops! Well I am back and I have a lot of fun things to share! We have been so busy in my little classroom. There have been so many different things we have been learning. We are in a couple of my favorite units of the school year. The kiddos are at a point where they are really independent, have lots of fun ideas, and are really being challenged with the curriculum. I LOVE it!

Right now our Invention Unit is taking over our classroom.  All the kids can talk about is what they are inventing. In class, they design their invention, write a paper to persuade people to buy their invention, make an advertising poster, and write a commercial script that they will use when they try to sell their product. At home, they have to make their invention. One girl was so excited she went home right away and made her invention! I was so proud! :) At the end of the unit we have an Invention Fair. The kiddos love showing the other kids in the school and parents what they can create. ((I am working at putting all of this fun stuff together in a pack!)) So far some of the inventions are Spring Shoes, Water Bottle Water Gun, Homework Machine, and Bubblegum pop! Here is some pictures of their work so far::

This is the cover of their folders!

They fill out a page about an inventor

A brainstorm page!

Then they draw a picture of their invention!

They have to write a proposal

Writing Planning Page! :)

Final Copy Paper! :)

Here are a couple kiddos at work!

As you can see, we have been super busy! :) So one of my good teacher friends just started a blog! We met back at Macy's working at the Estee Lauder counter together, and she got a job at the school we work at and told me to apply! Last year, she was a 3rd Grade Teacher, so I never really saw her. :( This year though she is 1st Grade, which rocks because I get to see her a lot now! Check out her blog!

I, also, have a super fun giveaway for you to enter! Kimberly is having her 300 Follower Giveaway! Check it out! :) ((Click the picture to take you there!))

Here is your freebie! We have been working on multiplying and when we are done working on our math lesson, I love to have the kids do a fun worksheet! We had an Early Release Day today, so I created this short little Bunny Times 3 sheet! Enjoy! :)

New Design and Scrambled Sentence Freebie!

I redesigned my blog! What do you think? I was never in love with what I had created before so made this yesterday. It was a lot more work then I thought it would be, but there are some fabulous tutorials out there which helped a lot. My fiance was laughing at how hard I was working. (He just doesn't get it!) :)

The snow is really coming down here in Minnesota, so I made a springtime scrambled sentences! I am so tired of wearing a winter coat, and getting my little friends dressed for winter. It takes so long to get snow pants, snow boots, hats, gloves, and coats on! Also with all of the indoor recess I am definitely ready for spring!

This freebie has five scrambled sentences with ADORABLE little birds from Hazel Owl Graphics. Enjoy! Click on the picture to take you to the download.

Well this was short and sweet today, but I need to get off the computer. Have a super Sunday! I am so sad there is no football anymore. :(

Area and Asking Bridesmaids! ((Plus an Area Freebie!))

Happy Sunday!

I am so excited to have tomorrow and just to relax. Today, my sister moved back up to college, and when she is at college she is about 15 minutes away from me which makes me very happy!! :) I decided to ask my bridesmaids this weekend. I searched all over pinterest and FELL in love with the ring pop idea. So I made cute cards in my color scheme, and then decorated the ring pop box. Also, I got each girl a cute piece of jewelry. I LOVE crafting, so this was perfect for me. The wedding isn't till July 2014, but I just can't wait to start making stuff for it. Below is a picture of what the little gifts looked like. I think they turned out super cute and the girls loved them. (They all said yes!) ((Sorry for the bad phone pics! I have better pictures on my  camera, but the cord is at school.))

The cards I made for the girls. Each one was a little different.

My colors are Navy and Yellow! :)

In the classroom this week, my little friends worked on area and perimeter. This was so hard for them to understand, but bless their little hearts they tried so hard and I am so proud of them. By the end of the week most them understood how to find each one and what the different terms meant. It is just so fun to see when something finally clicks and they just can do it. To make learning area fun we did a couple of different activities. ((Thank you Pinterest!!)) It was perfect because two days this week, because the older kids had testing, I got to spend an extra 45 minutes a day with my kiddos, so it is nice when their is fun project to do. One of the projects was area robots. Here is where the idea originally came from. The kids used graph paper to make a robot, and then counted the area. They turned out like this:

Super cute right and super easy!

Another activity we did was finding how many square inches out initials are. I cut out inch squares out of construction paper, and they made their initials. I forgot to take pictures, oops, but here is the sheet we used to make them. Hope you can use this!

Have a wonderful Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

I'm Back! Plus a Freebie!

Sorry for my break from the blogging world. I had a VERY difficult student who took all of my time and energy. It ended up where we didn't have the right services at my school for my friend, so hopefully this friend is at a school better fit for its needs. Other then this friend my kids have been wonderful. I have been testing their reading level and I can't believe how much they have improved! It just helped reinforce what I was doing after a difficult student to see the improvement.

On the classroom front, I am getting so excited for the 100th day of school! Ours in on the 1st, when is yours? I love this time of the year. Valentine's Day is definitely one of my favorites to celebrate in the classroom, so I am just giddy in general. Here is a 100th day Award: Click the Award to go to the Download

I am going to jet to go watch the Bachelor with my 2nd grade teaching buddy! Have a great night. I hope to be sharing a bunch of stuff in the next week. :)
